News about the Cordillera Range
In order to complete the Cordillera range, we have launched two new wines, the Cordillera Carmenère 2007 and the Shiraz 2007, which, along with the Cordillera Cariñena and the Chardonnay will fulfill the highest expectations.
Each of the Cordillera wines receives the name of the varietal of grape used in equal proportions or proportions greater than 50%. These varietals are complemented by others that offer greater richness and personality. Thus, to make Cordillera Carmenère we use principally Carmenère grapes and, in a smaller proportion, wines obtained from the Merlot and Petit Verdot varietals. For the elaboration of the Cordillera Shyraz, we use wines obtained from the varietals Shyraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Viognier. The coupage used in the winemaking of the Cordillera wines varies from year to year according to the characteristics of the grape harvest. Adjusting the percentage in the use of the varietals allows us to obtain the best from each wine and to bring out its most personal characteristics. New Wines, New Image Taking advantage of the introduction of the new Shiraz and Carmenère wines, we have redesigned the image of the entire line, making it more contemporary. The Cordilleras share design and esthetics, although the drawing that appears in the lower part of each label serves as a differentiating element and identifying icon for each wine. All that remains is to wish the best to these exquisite wines.
